Learn the skills to recognise and respond to someone having thoughts of suicide.

Did you know you’re far more likely to come across someone having thoughts of suicide, than someone having a heart attack? With the right skills, you could save a life! 

LivingWorks Start is a 90-minute online training program for everyone 13 years and over to learn how to recognise when someone is having thoughts of suicide and respond to keep them safe.

LivingWorks Start teaches valuable skills to anyone 13 years and over, and requires no formal training or prior experience in suicide prevention.


The evidence is clear; the earlier we ask someone – your family, friend, partner or colleague – if they are thinking about suicide, the earlier we can get them to the right level of support and recovery.


We believe that by teaching these skills to as many people as possible, we can help the world become safer from suicide, one community at a time, one intervention at a time.
