Robyn Lawrence has over 15 years’ experience in suicide prevention service design, community development, community consultation and program management. As State Training Manager for QLD, Robyn oversees the quality assurance and support of QLD trainers, while working closely with stakeholders across community and government. Robyn also delivers training within the community as a LivingWorks coach and qualified safeTALK and ASIST trainer, and sits on the Suicide Prevention Australia QLD/NT Joint Committee. Robyn has extensive expertise in suicide prevention and lived experience engagement, with a particular interest in building, managing and evaluating supportive communities. Prior to joining LivingWorks, she held influential community training and management roles within leading social issues organisations including Mission Australia, Mates in Construction, Lifeline, Central Queensland Wide Bay Sunshine Coast PHN and St Vincent de Paul Society. She holds a Master of Social Administration with a double major in Community Development. Robyn’s passion for training communities in suicide prevention stems from her personal experience of losing loved ones to suicide. She is constantly inspired and motivated by the 180 trainers across QLD who sit within diverse communities and are dedicated to growing the network of safety to reduce suicide across the state. Robyn is highly collaborative and has a strong ethical framework of practice. Robyn has a love for local food. Outside of work, she enjoys weekend downtime shopping at local farmers markets and cooking for her friends and family. Living by the sea gives her precious moments walking and cycling with her grandchildren along the waterfront. |
