Belinda Connell

Belinda Connell has been a registered Social Worker for 25 years and has over 10 years’ experience in suicide prevention, delivering LivingWorks’ suicide intervention training in Australia and overseas. As APAC Regional Manager, Belinda leads the network of LivingWorks Regional Training Managers across the Asia Pacific region.

Since first completing ASIST in 2007, Belinda says she has used the skills countless times to support people in both her professional and personal life, with each time reinforcing just how invaluable suicide first aid is in helping keep those around us safe. 

Prior to joining LivingWorks, Belinda worked in Government and Non-Government sectors and has also served as a sworn Police Officer with the NSW Police Service. This experience has helped her establish and nurture relationships with first responders, ultimately building LivingWorks’ network of safety.

Outside of work Belinda loves to take each day as it comes, with the weather helping her decide on her next adventure. Living in Lake Macquarie helps - if it is a sunny day, you can guarantee she’s outside getting some vitamin D and soaking in the sea breeze.

Belinda sits on the Suicide Prevention Australia NSW/ACT Joint Committee.
